What is the Jackson Barracks Post Exchange (PX)?
Jackson Barracks is a diamond in the rough (geographically and metaphorically) for the Louisiana National Guard, the city of New Orleans, and the state of Louisiana. A longstanding military installation (established in 1834 and named after President Andrew Jackson), it is currently the JFHQ (Joint Forces Headquarters) for the Louisiana National Guard.
On post, the Jackson Barracks Post Exchange (JB PX) operates a small, family run Post Exchange store for the soldiers, airmen, their families, and travelers coming through Jackson Barracks for most of their needs.
Next time you're at Jackson Barracks feel free to see us in the Post Exchange and if you didn't get a chance to grab a Jackson Barracks t-shirt or polo, you can always find them here.
